EMPLOYEE WELL-BEING FOSTERS EMPLOYEE GREEN BEHAVIOUR: A SEQUENTIAL MODERATED MEDIATION APPROACH

This study makes a unique contribution to the transformation journey toward sustainability by empirically studying the moderating function of employee engagement and organizational commitment with self-esteem in the relationship between employee well-being and employee green behaviors. Researchers in organizational behavior have been examining aspects that impact employee green behaviour. However, few studies have examined positive benefits of employee well-being on employee green behaviour. Purpose of this study is to look at linkages between employee well-being, employee green behavior, self-esteem, organizational commitment, and employee engagement. Surveys are conducted with 285 employees from higher education institution and universities of Pakistan. PLS-SEM approach is applied to evaluate the connection between variables. Employee well-being also has a strong beneficial influence on self-esteem and employee green behavior. Finally, organizational commitment and employee engagement initiatives favorably moderated the association between employee well-being, self-esteem and employee green behaviour.
