THE ROLE OF TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP IN ENHANCING TEACHERS' SELF-EFFICACY AND TEACHING PERFORMANCE IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS OF PAKISTAN

Purpose – The aim of this research is to examine how Self Efficacy acts as a mediator in the connection between teaching performance and transformational leadership. Design/methodology/approach – Analysis was conducted on information from 158 participants across 28 educational institutions in Pakistan. Regression analysis was employed to examine the validity and dimensionality of the study variables. Findings – The results indicate that Transformational Leadership is crucial for forecasting Teaching Performance. Self-Efficacy acts as a mediator between Transformational Leadership and Teaching Performance. Research limitations/implications – The findings were limited to a cross-sectional framework within the Rawalpindi/Islamabad context, which may render it inappropriate for broader application throughout Pakistan. Additionally, the sample population is smaller in relation, but the outcomes remain unaffected. Originality/value – There is presently a lack of adequate research carried out in Pakistan regarding the link between Self-Efficacy and transformational leadership. This research constitutes a comprehensive examination of how Self-Efficacy influences the relationship between transformational leadership and teaching effectivenes
